Kim (Director) hails from SC with a BA in Psychology with dance and child development emphasis from Columbia College, SC. She holds a Dance Educators of America Certification, level 3  from the teacher’s training school at UNLV. Kim is a former member of the Robert Ivey Ballet and the Columbia College Dance Ensemble, having performed in Spoleto, the World’s Fair, the Southeastern Dance Festival and the American College Dance Festival.  She is the former owner of Dance Expressions studio in TX. Kim is a member of Dance Educators of America, the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce, the BBB, Shape America, and the National Dance Association.

Nina - A native of Queens, NY, Nina trained at the Theatre of Dance Movement under the direction of Lucille Hill, as well as with Dance with Me Productions. Nina is a Level-1 Dance Educators of America Teacher Training School Certified Instructor. She has performed with Professor Griff from Public Enemy in Queens, NY as well as in an off-Broadway production titled FootTown. Nina is a graduate of St. John's University with a degree in Liberal Arts. She has been teaching Ballet, African, and Jazz for 5 years, and was the past assistant director of One Step at A Time Dance Studio under Mrs.Pat Harry. A mother of two, Nina loves working with our youngest dancers.

Janice was first introduced and fell in love with yoga while living in England in the late 90's and has been practicing ever since. Upon retirement from teaching preschool, she gained her certification as a yoga instructor and personal trainer in April, 2012. Her certification is in The Iyengar method of yoga. She continues to develop her skills by traveling to a variety of studios to study under master instructors as well as study various techniques. Carl has been part of sport ballroom since Oct 2006. During that time, Carl not only fell in love with the sport, but has continuously promoted it. Carl has been teaching independently now for two years and is committed to helping all his students become their very best. From hosting charity balls to raise money for the troops, to participating in the Dancing Stars of Central Georgia as one of their professionals, Carl is pleased to bring his expertise, passion and devotion to Warner Robins Dance Academy. He always welcomes both singles and couples to all of his classes. His repertoire includes Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, East and West Coast Swing, Bolero, Rumba, Cha Cha, and Salsa/Mambo. If you can walk in the door, Carl will help you dance on the way out.

Brittany Smith

Brittany hails from Warner Robins GA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from GA Southern University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Georgia College and State University. She is currently a 7th grade teacher at Feagin Mill Middle school and working towards her Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Piedmont College. Brittany began dancing at the age of four and has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, and modern at the Academy of Dance. Her real love and passion, though, is ballet. She has won numerous talent awards in the pageant system. She also performed in both the Moscow Ballet's Nutcracker and the Nutcracker of Middle Georgia. Brittany is so excited to be giving back to her studio which taught her the love and appreciation of dance and can't wait to be in the classroom passing on her love of ballet to the next generation.

Blanca

Blanca hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and calls Florida her second home. She has a BS degree in English/Media communications from High Point University and is a certified Zumba instructor. In her spare time she enjoys photography and gardening. She is bi-lingual and enjoys welcoming new people into the Academy of Dance family!

Judy received her training under Bonnie Little Roberson. She is certified with Dance Educators of America. She is the former owner and director of the Academy of Dance.

Karen trained at the Academy of Dance and is a Dance Educators of America Level-2 certified instructor. Karen is our resident grandmother to our preschoolers as well as mentor to our Jr Teachers this year.

Eilene is a graduate of Veritas Classical Schools and is currently in the honors college at Middle Georgia State College. Eilene has trained with the Academy of Dance and the International City Ballet.

Airianna began taking dance lessons at the age of six.  By the age of 13, she’d choreographed her first full-length, jazz piece for a trio of girls with little space to practice and a lot of heart.  Since then, she has received multiple platinum and first place awards as a member of the Dance Dynamics Senior Company and as a solo[p09ooist.  Airianna is a Level-1 Dance Educators of America Teacher Training School Certified Instructor. She is a versatile dancer trained extensively in the areas of ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and lyrical and has taken classes from various well-known choreographers in New York (on scholarship at Broadway Dance Center) and numerous national conventions.  An experienced performer, Airianna has danced in competitions, on television and has appeared as a featured performer at pageants and other local venues.  As a teacher, she has taught jazz, hip-hop and tap at The Academy of Dance in Warner Robins and Dance Dynamics in Macon as well as choreographed for the HoCo Competition Color Guard, Winter Guard and Spring Musical.  Her goal is to impart both her knowledge and love of dance to each of her students.  

Malik, a native of Bronx, NY, has learned many forms of hip hop dance, including Robotics, Krump, Animations, and his personal favorite, lyrical hip hop. Reaching out and teaching others is his passion. This NY boy moved to GA when he was 14 and has been a member of 3 dance crews in Atlanta. His most memorable dance crew is Kingsmen Crew out of the Royal Dance Academy. This crew has inspired him to expand his talents and showcase them in a variety of ways. His goal is to become a famous choreographer while teaching what he loves to do.

Kayleesa started dancing at the young age of 3, under the direction of Ms. Andrea Major of the Roxbury Center for the Performing Arts. Kayleesa has studied dance with such great teachers i.e. Tony Williams and Erika Lambe (Boston Ballet), Kim-Bears Bailey (Philadanco), and Hope Boykin (Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater). Kayleesa furthered her dance career as being the first African America dance graduate from the prestigious Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, graduating with high honors. She has performed in several venues such as Tony William "Urban Nutcracker", "First Night Boston", and "A Nubian Nativity." Kayleesa was a member of the "A Major Dance Company" throughout her high school years were she performed in several shows all over the Northeast area. Upon graduating high school Kayleesa received a promising artist scholarship from the renowned University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where she gradaduated with a B.F.A in modern dance performance. Kayleesa is super excited to began teaching her first year at the academy of dance.

Delaney

Delaney is a recent graduate of Wesleyan College with a BA degree in Human Services. She is a former member of the pre-professional ballet companies, Performance Place and MLK Ballet in Washington State and a student at the Pacific Northwest ballet. She was a member of the Cardettes dance and drill team in Athens TX while attending college on a dance scholarship. She has also been a choreographer for school productions while on campus. She is very excited to be back in the classroom teaching dance and can’t wait to meet everyone this year!

 

Our Junior Faculty:

Chipper is a Senior at Veterans High School. Chipper has been training at the Academy for 11 years and has been a Teacher Apprentice for 7. This is Chipper's 4th year as a Jr Apprentice Teacher, and she is under the tutelage of Miss Karen, a DEA level-2 certified teacher and Miss Airianna, our award-winning tap and hip hop instructor.

Kali is a sophomore with Veritas Classical Schools. Kali has been training at the Academy for 10 years and has been a Teacher apprentice under Miss Kim for creative movement for 4 years. This will be Kali's 4th year as a Jr Apprentice teacher, and she will be under the tutelage of Miss Nina and Mrs. Kim.

Emily is a sophomore at Veterans High School. She has been training at the Academy for the past 10 years and has been a teacher apprentice for 4. Emily has been on our Expressions performance company and competition teams and is a current member of our Career Bound Dancer program. This is Emily’s 1st year as a Junior teacher and she is under the tutelage of Miss Nina, a DEA Level 1 certified instructor.
